POSITION GOAL ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the boys lacrosse program, including coaching practices, teams, recruitment, scheduling, and program development. Directly manages assistant coaches and collaborates with school athletics staff to promote student‑athlete success and compliance with league and school policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE The Head Coach Qualifications: Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of any General Education Development (GED) Testing Program. Florida State Statute mandates all high school coaches hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate. Applicants without a valid Florida Educator Certificate will be required to obtain an Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education. Knowledge of the sport and the ability to impart this knowledge.
The Assistant Coach Minimum Qualifications:
Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program.
Shall have a knowledge of the activity and be able to impart this knowledge to the participants.
Computer skills as required for the position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Entrained experience in competitive lacrosse, both as a player and a coach, and familiarity with program administrative responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Requires the ability to perform the physical demands of coaching, including traveling, lifting, and occasional contact during practice or competition.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Full‑time position with benefits including health insurance, retired savings plan, and professional development stipend.
