We are seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to provide high-level administrative and legal support to our attorneys. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities. This role is essential in ensuring efficient case flow, organized communication, and seamless operational coordination across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain attorney calendars, coordinate internal and external meetings, schedule hearings and deadlines, and ensure timely reminders for all case-related obligations.
Answer and route calls on a multi-line phone system; serve as a professional and informed point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors.
Research, arrange, and confirm travel itineraries; prepare expense reports in accordance with firm and client billing policies.
Draft, edit, proofread, and finalize legal correspondence, memoranda, pleadings, and other firm publications; ensure documents are properly formatted and compliant with court filing standards when applicable.
Maintain organized electronic and physical case files; assist with e-filing and document archiving; ensure version control and confidentiality standards are upheld.
Assist with formatting and posting website articles, blog content, newsletters, and firm announcements in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
MUST have a minimum 2 years of administrative legal support experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Experience working with CRM platforms and the ability to adapt quickly to new software systems.
Familiarity with accounting or billing software is a plus.
Strong organizational, data entry, and database management skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional client-service mindset.
Salary: $50,000 – $65,000, commensurate with experience.
