Material Planner
Location: Independence, MO
Pay Range: $20 to $27 per hour (W-2) – 6 month contract
Our client, a leading organization in manufacturing, is seeking a Material Planner to join their team. As a Material Planner, you will be part of the Supply Chain Management department supporting production and logistics teams.
Responsibilities
Manage the sourcing of raw and packaging materials to support business growth objectives.
Review material availability for production at manufacturing sites and coordinate expediting or de‑expediting as needed.
Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to improve vendor reliability and responsiveness.
Monitor inventory levels, optimize stock, and reduce waste to ensure efficient operations.
Support innovation launches and material setup to facilitate flawless product introductions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years experience in supply chain management, with at least 2 years in material requirements planning.
Strong understanding of data analysis, root cause analysis, and statistical methods.
Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of SAP ECC is a plus.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
