Inventory Associate I Location:

7438 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32244

Compensation:

$1,500.00 – $3,800.00 per month

Overview Under general supervision, responsible for zone maintenance, vehicle receiving & shipping, inventory scanning, vehicle movement (both on and off lot), lot wash/merchandising, taking & uploading photos to carmax.com, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Execute processes as defined by work instructions and standardized work.

Participate in problem‑solving and continuous improvement activities with the team.

Assist in training new associates under guidance of Inventory Associate II or Manager.

Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.

Ensure daily lot maintenance and security of display areas and work‑in‑progress zones.

Secure and receive vehicles shipped to CarMax.

Prep vehicle and title packets for shipping to other locations.

Complete scanning of vehicles to ensure accurate product status.

Wash and vacuum customer returns and loaner vehicles; complete front‑lot wash.

Perform Photo Station process.

Drive vehicles on and off lot for repairs/storage.

Support Auctions if applicable.

Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization per CarMax 5S standards.

Complete duties as assigned by Flow Inventory Associate IVs and Managers.

Minimum Qualifications

Current driver's license meeting CarMax DSEPS standards.

Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.

High School diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.

Ability to execute processes as defined by work instructions and standardized work.

Complete Inventory Associate Workstation Certifications & assigned Workday Learnings.

Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions

Indoor and outdoor environments, including noise and inclement weather.

Flexible work hours; shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requires walking or standing for extended periods in a high‑energy, fast‑paced environment.

Wears CarMax clothing (acquired through the company) at all times.

Follows CarMax, OSHA, and EPA standards, including PPE and proper waste disposal.

Adheres to all CarMax policies: Attendance, Asset Protection, Integrity, TAWR, and Standards of Professional Appearance.
