Qualifications

Minimum of five years of relevant experience in horticulture, field management, landscaping, lawn maintenance, and irrigation.

Prior experience in the Commercial Lawn Maintenance and Irrigation Management industry preferred.

Bilingual communication skills are a plus.

Valid Drivers license

Proven ability to manage a portfolio of accounts exceeding $1.5M in annual revenue.

Demonstrated leadership in guiding maintenance crews and irrigation technicians with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, training, professionalism, customer service, and upholding company standards and culture.

Ability to pass drug screening

Account Management Responsibilities

Communication: Report and communicate all pertinent information to branch manager to ensure that they are up to date on all customer and employee information.

Sales Generation & Bid Preparation: Develop accurate proposals, estimates, and service in Service Auto Pilot for commercial and residential lawn maintenance, landscape services, enhancement projects, and irrigation system work.

Workflow & Close-Out Oversight: Support maintenance crew end-of-day close-out procedures in Service Auto Pilot by verifying time entries, ensuring accurate clock-in/clock-out data, and submitting daily absenteeism reports and updated crew assignments.

Procurement & Inventory Management: Acquire necessary supplies, materials, and equipment for field operations and office use. Direct office staff to order essential items such as edger blades, mower blades, trimmer line, fuel, and oils.

Project Execution: Assist with landscape installations, enhancement projects, and special assignments as needed to support operational demands.

Logistics Support: Transport plants, materials, and equipment as required to maintain efficient field operations.

Asset & Time Management: Oversee tools, equipment, vehicles, trailers, and crew time management, ensuring proper use, accountability, and operational efficiency.

Technical Knowledge: Maintain a working knowledge of plant materials, turf requirements, irrigation systems, and landscape tools and equipment.

Crew Leadership: Supervise crews of 2–6 team members, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance expectations to ensure quality and productivity.

Safety Compliance: Promote, enforce, and model safe work practices and ensure crews follow all safety protocols.

Facility Oversight: Open and close the shop on scheduled days and ensure operational readiness.

Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the Branch Manager.

Irrigation Management Responsibilities

Irrigation Operations & Scheduling: Oversee and maintain the irrigation technicians’ schedules within Service Autopilot, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of all irrigation-related tasks.

Verify all information for proposals/estimates/invoices and send to customers.

Manage irrigation inventory and procure all necessary parts, materials, and equipment. Ensure technicians are properly equipped, follow safety standards and company procedures, and meet all irrigation-related contractual requirements.

Technical Knowledge & Communication: Maintain a solid working knowledge of irrigation systems to effectively communicate with technicians and customers regarding system performance, needed repairs, and recommended improvements.

Ensure compliance with local and environmental water regulations.

Collaborate with account managers, landscapers, and other teams to improve efficiency.

Customer Responsibilities

Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent professionalism, reliable communication, and a focus on high-quality service delivery.

Customer Meetings: Schedule and conduct customer site meetings (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly as requested) and provide meeting notes upon request.

Responsive Communication: Respond to customer emails, texts, and phone calls within 24 hours to maintain exceptional customer service standards.

Contract Compliance: Ensure all contractual service requirements—including lawn maintenance, landscaping, enhancements, and irrigation services—are fulfilled.

Site Inspections: Conduct routine site visits to evaluate property conditions, identify opportunities for improvement, and issue work orders to crew leaders. Document concerns related to fertilization, weed control, turf health, and irrigation performance, and coordinate additional work orders through office staff. Site visits performed while crews are present should be used to coach, motivate, and support team members.

Crew Responsibilities

Training & Development: Assist in training and coaching crew leaders and crew members in proper maintenance techniques, safety practices, customer service, and irrigation awareness.

Uniforms & PPE: Ensure employees receive required PPE and company uniforms at the start of employment.

Equipment Reporting: Ensure crews properly tag damaged or malfunctioning equipment with detailed repair needs for the mechanic.

Scheduling Coordination: Communicate any crew scheduling changes to office staff in a timely manner.

Performance Evaluations: Complete annual performance reviews for crew leaders and crew members and recommend pay adjustments to the Branch Manager.
