Summary The Program Experience Futures team’s Strategist shapes the future of WGU’s digital learning experiences. This role develops and implements program experience strategies, fosters cross‑departmental collaboration, conducts research and evaluation, analyzes data, ensures ethical and legal compliance, pilots new technologies, delivers training, and optimizes performance metrics.

Job Duties

Develop and implement strategies that enhance program experiences and student outcomes.

Foster collaboration among departments and stakeholders to execute strategies successfully.

Conduct research and evaluate emerging technologies, pedagogical approaches, and industry best practices.

Apply data analysis techniques to derive actionable insights and drive data‑informed decision‑making.

Ensure ethical and legal compliance in the development and deployment of technologies and digital learning initiatives.

Plan, implement, and evaluate pilot programs to test new technologies and strategies.

Develop and deliver training programs to educate faculty and staff on technologies, best practices, and ethical considerations.

Establish KPIs and metrics to measure strategy effectiveness and continuously optimize program experiences.

Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Awareness of emerging trends and technologies in higher education and online learning.

Proficiency in data visualization tools and statistical analysis software.

Leadership of cross‑functional teams and driving organizational change.

Development and refinement of educational programs, courses, and curricula within higher education.

Understanding of accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Design and assessment of curriculum effectiveness, learning outcomes, and student engagement strategies in a Competency‑Based Education model.

Experience with online learning platforms, learning management systems, and educational technologies for online and hybrid environments.

Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies tailored to adult learners.

Collaboration with academic departments, faculty, subject matter experts, and instructional designers to deliver high‑quality programs.

Project management skills, including coordination of cross‑functional teams and alignment with departmental goals.

Data analysis and interpretation to inform program development decisions and continuous improvement.

Clear and concise communication of program objectives, outcomes, and value propositions to stakeholders.

Willingness to explore innovative approaches, incorporate emerging technologies, and adapt to evolving trends and student needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field.

At least 2 years of experience in strategic planning, program management, or related roles within higher education or a similar industry.

Experience with AI innovation.

Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with relevant software tools.

Strong project management skills with experience managing complex projects from initiation to completion.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field.

Experience with educational technology platforms and learning management systems.

Experience working with diverse student populations in online learning environments.

Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines for digital learning materials.

Certifications in data analysis or project management.

Position & Application Details Full‑time, regular position (40 standard weekly hours).
