The internal salary range is used for applicants who are current NJ state employees with underlying classified status for promotional calculations who meet the requirements below. The external salary range is used for candidates who are not NJ state employees who meet the requirements below.

Position Overview
The Tutoring Center (TC) provides tutoring services to the undergraduate student campus community. This role supports the office’s two professional staff members, manages data and tutor scheduling software involved with coordinating 200+ student Tutors and their 10,000+ tutoring sessions, and assists with coordination and management of all TC‑related events. This position also performs general office functions, such as reception duties, ordering of supplies, and oversight of the email account, etc. In addition, this role will conduct and report on project research as assigned, collaborate with staff to ensure communications needs are met, and assist with managing graduate assistants.
Responsibilities
Manage the scheduling software (WCOnline) used by the campus community to set up tutoring sessions
Manage data and records
Provide direct support to the Associate Director in matters related to the budget, student payroll, and research‑related projects
Serve as the receptionist for the Tutoring Center space, as the first point of contact
Respond to general office phone and emails
Perform general office management functions including the ordering of supplies, keys, and catering; scheduling rooms and work orders, etc.
Support team needs, including coordinating events and representing TC as needed
Collaborate with staff to ensure communications needs are met, including maintaining website
Assist in the hiring, training, and oversight of TC Graduate Assistants
Required
Excellent customer service skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Experience with project management, data collection, and reporting
Two or more years of relevant experience in higher education and/or transferable skills
Software proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Google Suite/Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Forms, Sheets, Slides, and Calendar), and the ability to learn quickly other systems that directly relate to Tutoring Center operations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to develop cooperative working relationships
Honest, reliable, and have the ability to exercise appropriate discretion, judgment, and confidentiality in all matters related to the position
Preferred
Experience with tutoring software, such as WCOnline and the E‑Tutoring Consortium
Experience updating websites using WordPress
Experience with TCNJ‑related software, such as PAWS, Oracle, and Taleo
