CATEGORY DEVELOPMENT ANALYST – FOH FOODS – HYBRID
We are seeking a Category Development Analyst to join Foodbuy USA & support our category managers by providing crucial analytics and handling supplier programs. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and suppliers within assigned categories, delivering insights and recommendations to drive the category development process and continuous category management through analysis, reporting, modeling, and data mining. Responsibilities
Conduct ad hoc analysis, compliance reports, market trends, pricing and rebate database reviews, and marketing/communication opportunity analysis. Support the development of category plans, joint business plans/reviews, and presentation materials for key strategic supplier and customer partnerships. Lead the roll‑out, implementation, and communication of new programs or program changes/conversion initiatives, ensuring adherence to company processes and timelines. Prepare monthly income by supplier (IBS) forecasts, variance analyses, and track performance against budget. Perform income analysis, forecast adjustments, and any other duties supporting category income drivers. Coordinate with cross‑functional groups for timely management of termsets, MOGs, catalogs, and other system needs. Identify opportunities and make recommendations related to contract coverage, conversion opportunities, pricing/volume allowance, new programs, and contracts. Work with suppliers on issue resolution. Maintain system data accuracy – term set management, price releases, price audits, non‑transactional data, subscriptions, item mapping, and manufacturer catalog. Support internal processes including budgeting, pricing, and product recommendations. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 1 year of experience in supply chain, category management, finance, or a related field; supplier management experience preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Sense of urgency, excellent customer service skills and demeanor. Ability to manage complex, competing priorities with strict deadlines and attention to detail. High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. EEO & Equal Opportunity Statement
