Overview
Christian Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking a Distribution Operations Coordinator to support the operating room with supplies and procedural areas. The role involves inventory level monitoring, coordination with surgical services, and collaboration with central sterile processing.
Responsibilities
Review, monitor, and adjust inventory levels of supplies in the OR procedural areas based on staffing and scheduled cases.
Work closely with Surgical Services Nursing Staff and possibly Doctors.
Complete all recalls and returns for the OR and Central Sterile Processing Department.
Conduct mid‑year and end‑of‑year inventory counts for the OR and Central Sterile Processing Department.
Provide support to other procedural areas (e.g., GI, Cath Lab, IVR).
Manage expiry of procedural areas.
Maintain 2‑bin Kanban and pull/distribute standard inventory reporting.
Manage case cart and other procedural support logistics.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
2–5 years of experience in inventory management or supply chain operations.
Knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., Wavemark, Atpar, FLICS, PeopleSoft).
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with clinicians and vendors.
