Security Visitor Management Specialist

Job Summary The Security Visitor Management Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment within the hospital premises. This position operates at one level under the Security Officer and requires a proactive approach to security, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various situations with professionalism.
Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions
Provide excellent customer service by greeting and screening every visitor.
Ask for identification, obtain and scan it into the system.
Generate the temporary ID badge, explain the policy, and inform visitors that it must be worn at all times inside the hospital and relinquished upon exit.
Assist visitors without badges and ensure proper check‑in.
Maintain a visible deterrence to crime, prohibited activities, or suspicious activities in public and non‑public areas.
Maintain a positive working relationship with facility staff members and possess thorough knowledge of the facility and, where applicable, multiple facilities.
Communicate effectively with diverse people including clients or their representatives, client employees, visitors, or client vendors.
Write accurate, clear, and legible reports.
Attend monthly staff meetings and in‑service classes related to the Security Department.
Enforce the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Wellstar Health System.
Provide assistance to employees, patients, and visitors during emergencies or non‑emergencies.
Document observations, hazards, and incidents for follow‑up corrective action.
Take immediate corrective action against hazards and conditions that may cause injury or damage.
Report any unsafe conditions and the actions taken to the supervisor.
Assist with emergency response as directed by supervisor, responding quickly and effectively.
Escort persons and assist facility personnel while remaining vigilant for potential injury or property damage.
Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Required Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED.
Required Minimum License(s) And Certification(s) All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Required Minimum Experience
Less than 1 year private safety/security, military, or law enforcement experience (Preferred).
