Purpose The Maintenance Technician II performs skilled mechanical and electrical maintenance work to support reliable operation of production, roasting, and packaging equipment. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, equipment changeovers, and supporting food safety and quality programs in a small, fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Travel Minimal; Occasional Local Travel to Purchase Materials

Additional Information 1st Shift; 8am - 4pm, M-F

Job Responsibilities Core Responsibilities

Perform equipment repair, troubleshooting, and diagnostic work.

Execute and document preventive maintenance tasks.

Perform packaging line setup, changeovers, and equipment adjustments.

Support food safety, QA, and SOP compliance activities.

Assist with project planning, purchasing, and implementation.

Maintenance Repairs & Projects

Serve as a primary maintenance resource and communicate equipment and repair needs to the Maintenance Manager.

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and maintain PM logs and documentation.

Support packaging line changeovers and verify proper equipment setup.

Conduct mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repairs with assistance as required.

Assist with roaster cleaning, grinder maintenance, and other production equipment upkeep.

Follow all PPE and LOTO requirements and support documentation as needed.

Complete safety-related logs, reports, checklists, and record‑keeping.

Contribute to achieving equipment KPI goals (uptime, safety, PM compliance).

Requirements Who you are Required Qualifications

2–4 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Experience with electrical and PLC troubleshooting (no programming required).

Forklift certification or ability to become certified.

Strong problem‑solving and diagnostic skills.

Intermediate computer, math, and writing skills.

Effective communication and time management.

Preferred Qualifications

Two‑year degree in a manufacturing or maintenance‑related field.

Experience in food or beverage manufacturing.

Familiarity with GMP, food safety, or FSMA environments.

CMMS experience.

Experience with VFFS machine or similar packaging equipment

Passion for Peace Coffee’s mission and values are essential.

Physical Requirements

Work environment: This job is performed in a warehouse where conditions can be hot, dusty and there is continuous industrial noise. The ability to work in this environment daily is required.

This job requires standing on concrete, bending, walking, and lifting on a continuous basis throughout the day.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Ability to climb rolling ladders, lift and carry bins up to 45 lbs. above 5ft.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Ability to use cleaning products of medium toxicity.

Ability to perform hands‑on mechanical work using tools and equipment.

Compensation Hourly Rate:

$26.50/hour

Benefits:

Health/Dental/Short‑Term Disability Insurances - first day of the month following hire date, 401k with match - after 90 days.

Benefits may vary based on actual hours worked regularly.
