Position Overview

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division I and Big Ten Conference institution, is seeking a Head Coach for the Field Hockey program. The University seeks a dynamic and experienced leader with a strong commitment to NCAA Division I‑A athletics, integrity, compliance, character, and the academic and athletic experience of the student‑athlete. Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining and strengthening a nationally competitive Field Hockey program by presenting a clear vision and strategy to compete for Big Ten and NCAA Championships. The Coach will recruit on a national level and engage in the personal, academic and athletic development of student‑athletes and is responsible for the program's strict compliance with University, Big Ten Conference, and NCAA regulations. Qualifications

Requires at least six years of Division I coaching experience at the collegiate level. Commitment to comply fully with the mission statements of the University and Department, including Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics vision to prepare students for a lifetime of impact. Proven organizational, evaluation, administrative, and communication skills; a demonstrated ability to work well under pressure; and knowledge of NCAA regulations are required. Six (6) years of Division I coaching experience at the collegiate level Demonstrated recruitment expertise on a national level Strong organizational, evaluative, administrative, and communication abilities Ability to work well under pressure Knowledge of and compliance with NCAA, Big Ten, and University regulations Minimum Education, Work Experience & Required Certifications

Bachelor's Degree (discipline may vary by sport) No specific certifications required Background Checks / Clearances

Payment will be consistent with Penn State’s established salary structure for full‑time employees.
