Systems Engineer – SME (Part‑Time) at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) – TS/SCI clearance required. The position is located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

Teach learning modules within Anti‑Tamper courses to industry and Government participants, and assist in curriculum development as needed.

Communicate and educate trainees on designing and planning improvements for planned and existing service compartmented weapon systems to facilitate manufacture, operations, re‑manufacture, and de‑militarization operations and oversight.

Provide training facilitation, decision support services, and collaborative group sessions for engaging offices.

Translate user requirements into system requirements for design, development, fabrication, test, and evaluation of systems, subsystems, and equipment for deployment.

Plan, schedule, coordinate, set up, and conduct facilitation activities with host organization and attending personnel.

Establish site location and set up audio‑visual and computer equipment.

Consult on subject matter, lead strategic planning events, handle diverse viewpoints, and channel discussions into constructive solutions.

Document agendas, attendee lists, minutes, and action items for records.

Provide off‑the‑shelf or customized training packages for organization and business improvement services.

Assist in developing training policy, procedures, and strategies; conduct training‑related meetings; oversee courseware development; develop metrics and reporting.

Qualifications

Minimum 20 years of relevant DoD work experience (waivable with customer approval).

At least 3 years of experience in an SAP and/or SCI environment within the last 5 years (waivable with customer approval).

Active Top Secret security clearance with Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI or SBPR).

Education

BS and MS degrees in Electrical, Radar, Software, Microelectronics, or Computer Engineering (Master’s degree may be waived with customer approval).

Desired Skills

Evaluating current fielded weapons systems for anti‑tamper and reverse engineering susceptibility.

Identifying susceptibility of protected information to exploitation and reverse engineering.

Developing methodologies to improve resistance of electronic circuits against reverse engineering.

Supporting industry and DoD standards for future weapons systems to enhance resistance to exploitation.

Assessing tamper resistance within the acquisition development cycle.

Familiarity with state‑of‑the‑art exploitation equipment and instrumentation to evaluate processors, memory units, and electronic circuits.

Clearance Requirements

Active Top Secret security clearance based upon a Single Scope Background (SSBI/SBPR).

Eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP).
