Pipe Fabrication Facility located in Indian Trail, NC off Hwy 74. You must be in a reasonable driving distance.
Duties & Responsibilities
Selects the type and size of pipe, fittings, valves, steel, equipment, and related materials to assemble as instructed.
Plans a sequence of operations, applying knowledge of geometry, effects of heat and allowance for weld shrinkage in preparation to welding.
Lays out, positions, aligns and fits components together according to blueprints and project specifications.
Moves parts into position manually or by hoist, cranes, jigs, fixtures, clamps and jacks.
Cuts, threads, bends, shape pipe, and steel with various tools and equipment.
Loads, transports, and unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
Performs minor maintenance and cleaning activities of tools, equipment and facility.
Responsible for observing and complying with all safety rules, including wearing personal safety equipment.

Take a company-written pipefitter's test.
Working knowledge of B31.5 piping code.
Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
Apply basic math, geometry, and trigonometry mathematical functions to solve problems.
Plan work and select proper tools.
Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
