Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Construction Manager to oversee construction projects in the Lafayette, LA area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget. This role requires regular travel throughout the assigned area.
The
Regional Construction Manager
is responsible for helping facilitate all phases of capital construction projects within their assigned state or region. This position works with our CSWR Central Construction Team in St. Louis, MO to ensure projects are properly identified, prioritized, permitted, and executed safely and in accordance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and budget expectations. The role serves as a key liaison between field construction activities and CSWR’s Central Construction Group at the corporate office. Residency in the state managed is required.
Primary Responsibilities
Identify, prioritize, and provide information for the preparation of scopes of work (in detail) for capital projects across assigned utility systems
Conduct and manage due diligence on proposed projects and provide findings to CSWR’s Central Construction Group for collaboration
Assist in all phases of a project from planning, engineering, preconstruction, construction and closeout
Oversee day-to-day on site construction activities for all regional capital projects, ensuring compliance with safety, company standards, budgets, and schedules
Assist with expanding our network of partners, manage and monitor contractors, and other third-party vendors throughout project lifecycle
Assist with ensuring all regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements are met during construction
Coordinate with CSWR’s Central Construction Group, engineering, and operations and in-house construction teams to ensure proper project handoff and closeout
Report project progress and performance metrics to CSWR’s Central Construction Group
Assist as needed with the preparation and submission of required state and environmental permits and related filings
Provide input and feedback to improve construction processes, standards, and cost control measures
Support Regional leadership with budget planning, forecasting, and strategic capital improvement initiatives
Perform other department-related duties as assigned

Education & Skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
5+ years of utility construction experience with a preference for water and wastewater utility experience
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple capital projects simultaneously
Strong working knowledge of permitting, environmental compliance, and construction standards
Familiarity with project management tools and data reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, MS Project, Smartsheet) preferred
