Job Summary The Installation Engineer responsible for overseeing the installation, integration, and commissioning of Time Manufacturing aerial lifts and related equipment on various chassis platforms. This role ensures that all installations meet engineering specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and technical excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead installation and integration of aerial lift equipment on vehicles in alignment with engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Conduct system checks, functional testing, and troubleshooting to ensure proper operation of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Collaborate with design engineering, production, and service teams to resolve installation or field‑related issues.
Communicate and coordinate extensively with chassis, body, and component vendors to align specifications, resolve integration issues, and ensure seamless installations.
Provide technical support and training to internal teams, field service personnel, and customers.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company quality processes.
Document installation procedures, updates, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Support new product launches and prototype builds with installation expertise and feedback.
Travel to field sites as needed for installations, inspections, or technical support.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s/Associate ’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field; equivalent technical experience considered.
Experience in equipment installation, commissioning, or field service, preferably in heavy equipment, manufacturing, or automotive industries is a plus.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
Problem‑solving skills with a bias for action and continuous improvement.
Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams, including regular interaction with chassis, body, and component vendors.
Willingness to travel domestically as required.
Preferred Skills
Experience in vehicle integration or aerial lift/equipment installation.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
CAD software literacy (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
