Construction Project Manager, Indianapolis, IN
My client, a highly respected construction firm based in Indianapolis, is seeking a Project Manager
with 10 + years of relevant experience to oversee ground-up construction projects. This role will manage all phases of project execution in close collaboration with the on-site Superintendent to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Construction Project Manager Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with project teams to collect and manage all relevant project documentation.
Prepare comprehensive bid packages and oversee distribution to subcontractors and vendors.
Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules and budgets on a weekly basis.
Reconcile pre-construction budgets with final costs following the bid phase.
Track and manage all project financials, maintaining accurate accounting records.
Lead regular team meetings to assess progress against schedule and budget goals.
Conduct on-site visits regularly, spending full days on-site based on project phase and needs.
Compile project-specific manuals for turnover to property management teams.
Manage and coordinate building turnover timelines with clients to ensure a smooth transition.
Partner with the Superintendent to develop and enforce jobsite safety plans.
Ensure all safety protocols comply with company standards as well as OSHA and local requirements.
Perform other duties as needed to support project success and team collaboration.
Construction Project Manager Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience (6+ years) accepted in lieu of a degree.
Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with clients, building officials, vendors, and subcontractors.
Proven experience in project scheduling and working with scheduling software.
Skilled at writing clear and detailed scopes of work for all trades.
Solid financial management skills with the ability to track and manage project costs.
Proficiency with standard office and project management software; experience with
Procore
is highly desirable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
