Summary The Technical Maintenance Mechanic repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyors, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Knowledge and experience working with conveyor systems, electrical 3-phase motor controls/PLC, overall material handling experience.
Perform repair, inspection, installation of conveyor system, racking, balers, air compressors, carton sealers, etc. and all other building and support areas.
Recognize potential malfunctions and proactively repair to mitigate costs.
Maintain complete repair order records.
Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Examine the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Repair or replace defective parts.
Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
Lubricate and clean parts.
Start devices to test their performance.
Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Initiate purchase order for parts and machines.
Repair electrical equipment.
Position is full-time and on-site.
Professional stream includes those who are individual contributors with main emphasis on applying technical/discipline knowledge rather than managing people to achieve results – although coaching/mentoring less experienced staff, informal supervisory responsibilities, or overseeing work of other lower level professionals or managing processes and program are common. Individual work ranges from setting objectives and delivering on own work responsibilities to being a leading expert within a given field and influencing long term tactical decisions of the organization.

Pay Range $32.00 - $34.00 hourly* The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
