Position Summary The EW Operator I supports the electro‑winning process of copper production. This hands‑on role includes operating and maintaining EW process equipment, harvesting copper cathodes, and performing cell and equipment maintenance to ensure safe and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor equipment used in the EW process
Harvest copper cathodes and conduct quality inspections
Perform EW cell maintenance: draining, leak repair, cleaning, replacing sheets and boards
Operate equipment like cathode press, rigidizer, and loop slitter
Assist in starter sheet fabrication
Prepare copper cathodes for shipping (weighing, banding, loading)
Collect and analyze plant samples
Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in assigned areas
Support maintenance teams with repairs as needed
Minimum Requirements
2-4+ years experience in an industrial setting (construction, operations, manufacturing, etc.)
Ability to safely perform physically demanding tasks
Willingness to work in outdoor, industrial environments
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Familiarity with EW or chemical processing equipment
Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
