Field Service Technician - Sany Construction Equipment Dealer
Location: Tulsa, OK area.
We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of construction equipment. The role includes in‑store service and travel to customer sites. The ideal candidate works independently, has excellent customer service, and can mentor junior technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Sany and other industrial & construction equipment.
Perform advanced preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
Use diagnostic tools, software, and technical manuals to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently.
Lead or assist in overhauls and major component replacements (e.g., engines, transmissions, final drives).
Mentor entry‑level and intermediate technicians.
Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and customers regarding repair needs, cost, and timeline.
Complete accurate and detailed service reports, timecards, and warranty documentation.
Recommend additional services or parts (upselling) for customer benefit.
Provide on‑site customer support, fostering strong relationships to drive repeat business.
Maintain a clean, organized, safe work environment; comply with OSHA and company policies.
Participate in manufacturer training programs to maintain certifications.
Process paperwork after each job.
Professional Qualifications
5+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing construction or heavy equipment.
Proficiency in hydraulic systems, diesel engines, electrical diagnostics, and powertrains.
Experience using OEM diagnostic software (e.g., Cummins Insite, Yanmar, SmartAssist, Caterpillar ET, John Deere Service Advisor, Komatsu Komtrax, or SANY software).
Valid driver’s license; CDL or ability to obtain one is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varying conditions.
Strong problem‑solving skills; ability to work independently or in a team.
Welding and fabrication experience.
Ability to train and lead less experienced technicians.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or trade certification preferred.
Compensation Base salary, annual performance bonus, and other competitive benefits. Compensation commensurate with experience.
