9/80 (Employees work 9 out of every 14 days; 80 hours in total with every other Friday off)

Responsibilities

Work with cross‑functional teams to define tool requirements.

Design tooling using PTC Creo and Windchill following Design for Manufacturability principles.

Conduct design reviews with cross‑functional teams for tool approval.

Oversee procurement and fabrication of tooling.

Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to perform functional evaluations and accept tooling.

Provide liaison support for tool maintenance, troubleshooting, redesign, and modification implementation.

Use finite element analysis tools to perform structural analysis, predict internal stresses, and resolve structural instabilities.

Apply GD&T and complex system tolerance analysis.

Utilize Microsoft Office Suite.

Obtain a US security clearance.

Travel as required (5%).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior mechanical‑engineering design experience; or a graduate degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior experience; or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Minimum 2 years of experience specifically in tooling design, ground support equipment, or special test equipment.

Preferred Additional Skills

Experience with Siemens NX.

Experience with ANSYS.

Fabrication experience.

Composite wind tool design and/or fabrication experience.

Compression mold tool design and/or fabrication experience.

Experience working in the defense industry.

Active US Secret Clearance.
