About The Role We are seeking an experienced OSP Construction Manager to oversee daily field operations for a major fiber expansion initiative. This program focuses on building underground fiber routes to new data centers, enabling next‑generation connectivity for enterprise clients.
This is a hands‑on leadership role focused on managing OSP crews and inspectors in the field.
Hard Requirement: Must have prior experience managing OSP crews and inspectors for another telecom or utility provider.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily field operations, including drill counts, footage tracking, and crew performance.
Attend pre‑construction meetings and coordinate with local inspectors.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
Report daily metrics and progress to internal stakeholders.
Provide on‑ground insights to support remote Project Managers driving this data center fiber initiative.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience managing OSP crews and inspectors for a telecom or utility provider.
Strong knowledge of fiber optic or utility construction practices, especially underground builds.
Proficiency in Excel and basic Word skills.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with multiple teams.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and traveling locally.
