Base Pay Range $38.00/hr - $43.00/hr

Responsibilities

Design, prototype, and document engine, transmission, and electrified powertrain wiring harnesses to support conventional and electrified powertrain test cells.

Organize and oversee the build of harnesses (in-house and outsourced), check for errors, verify operation, control inventory, diagnose and troubleshoot field issues, and ensure corrective actions.

Read and interpret device transmittal information and use it to efficiently design wiring harnesses for dynamometer testing.

Interface with product development engineers to gather electrical information, work with technicians and suppliers to build harnesses to specification, document designs, and maintain the drawing database.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, or Aeronautical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

2+ years of relevant work experience.

Strong background in wiring requirements (current, voltage, electrical noise mitigation, grounding, shielding, twisted wiring).

Strong multitasking ability in fast paced environments.

Can guide technicians with work orders and direction for repairing/modifying wire harnesses.

Experience using MS Office and/or Google Suite.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, or Aeronautical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

5+ years of relevant work experience.

Experience in automotive and instrumentation wiring, data acquisition systems, and dynamometer operations.

Experience with wiring and operation of battery electric and hybrid electric powertrain system.

Experience with repair/assembly of vehicles, engines, transmissions, etc.

Additional Must Haves

Location – CTC – 100% onsite.

1st Shift – 6:30am-3:00pm.

No travel.

No company vehicle driving required.
