About the Position Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Tech for a 13‑week travel assignment in El Centro, California. You will collaborate with a dedicated clinical team, support patients, and provide high‑quality nuclear medicine services.
Required Qualifications
One year’s experience as a Nuclear Medicine Tech.
Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiography license compliant with state regulations.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AHA/ARC).
Preferred Qualifications
ARRT or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
Additional certifications and licenses relevant to the role.
Job Summary The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals, operates advanced imaging equipment, monitors patient safety, and maintains compliance with radiation safety standards.
Essential Work Functions
Educate patients about nuclear medicine procedures and address questions.
Inspect and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, reporting malfunctions.
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and other medications per protocols.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and intervene as needed.
Operate imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images.
Document procedures in patient records for continuity of care.
Follow hospital safety rules and radiation safety procedures.
Perform other duties within the scope of practice.
Required Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication.
Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and use PCs.
Physical ability to stay stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push/pull, and bend.
Comfortable interacting with the public and working under pressure.
Strong visual acuity and fine motor skills.
