Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated 2nd shift Lead CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team in Germantown, WI. In this role, you will lead a dedicated group of 2nd shift machinists, ensuring the efficient operation of CNC machinery while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. If you are the "go to" machinist in your department and have a knack for leadership, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of CNC machinists to ensure timely and accurate production.
Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to produce high-quality components.
Monitor job performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal production levels.
Collaborate with engineering to improve processes and resolve any machining issues.
Train and mentor team members on best practices in CNC machining and safety protocols.
Conduct regular inspections of in-process machined parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred.
10+ years experience as a CNC machinist
3+ years experience offline programming experience (Mastercam a plus)
Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling selection.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and G,D&T callouts.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a focus on team collaboration.
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in a machining environment.
