What To Expect
As an Electrician with the Self Perform Construction team, you will have the opportunity to work on all phases of commercial construction.
What You'll Do
Collaborating with the entire Construction department, the Construction Electrician is responsible for the installation of power distribution systems, transformers, lighting, temporary construction power, and electrical equipment operating up to 480 VAC
Maintains and troubleshoots various types of electrical components
Uses complex electrical schematics and blueprints to plan work scopes, install requested improvements, and troubleshoot and correct problems
Consults manuals, reads and interprets diagrams, P&IDs, blueprints, and schematics
Performs a wide variety of job scopes
Displays positive attitudes and practices good work ethics that reflect the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company
Completes tasks in a timely manner and provides feedback
What You'll Bring
5+ years of Electrician experience in industrial or commercial settings
Proficient in using hand tools, electrical meters, and testing equipment
Must possess or be able to maintain a Journeyman card within 90 days
Efficient in sizing conductors, conduits, and utilizing NEC Code Book
Experienced in handling voltages from low to 480 VAC, with medium voltage experience as a plus
Strong knowledge in installing and troubleshooting PLCs, motor controls, drives, and electronic components
Ability to interpret electrical prints, install equipment, and produce parts lists, work plans, and as-built drawings
