Position Summary:
We are looking for a Quality Engineer to support departmental efforts related to quality improvement. Coordinate and execute plans to obtain and/or maintain certification for IATF 16949 and ISO 9001, along with applicable automotive international standards. This role is responsible for supporting customer and supplier quality expectations, production requirements, and scrap and rework reduction. Provide guidance to management in interpreting, implementing, and communicating quality policies and procedures.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
3+ years of quality control experience in automotive manufacturing required
Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and IATF 16949 / ISO 9001
Ability to implement and maintain quality system requirements, including APQP, PPAP, and customer-specific requirements
Strong communication and leadership skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards
Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving activities
Validate supplier product quality through control plans, inspection criteria, and sampling procedures
Develop and implement quality system improvements aligned with business objectives
Conduct and support internal and external quality audits
Verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions
Develop and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, Flow Charts, and Process Capability Studies
Essential Skills and Experience:
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proven leadership ability
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of associates and external contacts
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and drawings
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes
