A well‑established organization in Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of key accounting functions and play a visible role in the company’s financial operations. What You’ll Do:
Lead month‑end and year‑end close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all financial processes
Prepare and review complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide insights to management
Maintain and enhance general ledger structure, internal controls, and accounting procedures
Assist with financial statement preparation, audit support, and regulatory reporting
Partner with operations, finance, and leadership teams to ensure accurate financial data flow and resolve accounting issues
Support process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives
Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, promoting best practices and development
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA‑track preferred)
3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting, corporate accounting, or a blend)
Strong understanding of GAAP and advanced accounting concepts
Proficiency with Excel and experience working within an ERP environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate findings clearly
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
A proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership and improve processes
