About The Role
As an Actuarial Analyst, you will support Orion180’s growth by contributing to pricing, reserving, and analytics for our insurance products. You will collaborate across claims, finance, and sales to develop insights that influence strategic decisions and ensure financial soundness. What You’ll Do
Support the actuarial function to achieve business objectives and performance goals. Partner with portfolio managers to evaluate and manage financial results across Orion180’s product portfolio. Perform quarterly and ad-hoc reserve studies, including monthly tracking of reserve and claim development. Collaborate with the Claims department to understand reserving and settlement practices and their impact on loss reserves and IBNR. Communicate complex actuarial analyses and findings to non-technical stakeholders, including executives and other internal teams. Assist in the development of pricing models, reserving methodologies, and analytical reports that drive data‑driven decisions. Support regulatory filings, reinsurance presentations, and audit documentation as needed. Education
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field required. Experience
Minimum 1 year of actuarial work experience in Property & Casualty insurance required; reserving experience strongly preferred. Experience communicating technical analyses to non-technical audiences both verbally and in writing. Technical Proficiency
Strong Excel skills required. Proficiency with SQL; familiarity with R or Python is a plus. Professional Attributes
