W2 Contract – 8 months with possible extensions!

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst III to join our client’s site in Austin, TX. This role will support the review, analysis, and evaluation of business systems and user needs, and the formulation of systems aligned with overall business strategies. The position involves business process reengineering, identifying new applications of technology to improve business effectiveness, and preparing solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses. The role also supports system modernization and ongoing enhancement efforts, working in a SAFe environment and providing project and product oversight, documentation support, and coordination with multiple IT application enhancement initiatives.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs
Formulate systems aligned with overall business strategies
Perform business process reengineering and identify technology solutions to business problems
Prepare solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, and buy/build
Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and development or modification steps
Provide project and product oversight for system modernization and enhancement efforts
Support documentation and delivery of application enhancements
Act as an IT stakeholder for application enhancement initiatives involving multiple vendors
Create and maintain processes and project documentation
Work within a SAFe environment on major modernization projects and ongoing enhancements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred
8+ years of experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs
Experience formulating systems aligned with business strategies
Experience with business process reengineering and applying technology to business problems
Ability to independently perform complex tasks using experience and judgment
Experience acting as a liaison between business teams and IT teams
Strong experience in data analysis and requirements gathering.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience working in an Agile environment (preferably SAFe)
Experience and knowledge of Texas Medicaid and CHIP systems
Experience and knowledge of related state processes
Project management experience (PMP mentioned as a plus).
