$70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Hedge Fund in Midtown, Manhattan is seeking a Fund Accountant for a full-time position! Description: Review and assist with accounts payable and billing processes. Review and process employees’ expenses and corporate credit card expenses. Analyze the monthly funds’ NAV package and ETFs monthly financial package. Support the monthly financial closing process, which involves the preparation of journal entries, conducting account analyses, managing revenue and expense accruals, as well as performing reconciliations. Assist in preparing monthly stand-alone and/or consolidated financial reports. Assist in preparing materials needed for quarterly asset management and board meetings for both corporate entities and funds. Review and assist in the semi-annual / annual reports and prospectuses for ETFs. Calculate and verify various fees to ensure accuracy. Help monitor and communicate new and emerging accounting standards. Assist with any financial or accounting projects that the firm may require. Qualifications: 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, within finance. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines; Strong analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail and work ethic; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Knowledge of asset management, specifically related to ETFs, is an advantage; Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoints skills; Knowledge of Quickbooks is preferred.
