The Tax Analyst is an integral part of Latham’s Global Tax team. This role will act as a tax specialist for the firm, preparing income tax return schedules, analyzing data from the Accounting & Finance Department, and preparing tax schedules for U.S. federal and state partnership income tax returns, sales and use tax returns, and other tax compliance requirements. The position is located in our Global Services office in Downtown Los Angeles. The role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Responsibilities & Qualifications
Assist in coordinating the process of providing information to external tax accountants for the preparation of U.S. federal and state partnership tax returns and international tax filings. Work with Senior Tax Analysts to prepare general ledger analyses and perform quality assurance procedures. Calculate and prepare partners’ U.S. and international tax calculations. Maintain a compliance schedule of all U.S. federal, state, and international tax returns. Assist with any projects needed by the Global Tax Department or staff. Protect and maintain confidential, privileged, financial, and proprietary information retained by Latham & Watkins. We’d love to hear from you if you exhibit well-developed interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and a customer-service focus. Minimum 1 year experience in public accounting at a multi-office professional services organization. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. A CPA license or working progress toward CPA license, preferably. Experience with preparing U.S. federal and state partnership income tax returns, preferably. Benefits & Additional Information
