Job Title Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description The Accounts Payable Specialist will join the finance team, contributing to the smooth operations and management of the department. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Assistant Controller, ensuring accurate financial processing and vendor management.
Responsibilities
Maintain a positive business relationship with vendors, handling any past dues.
Process invoices using Extend.
Review the accounts payable aging summary for open items.
Complete the weekly check run.
Communicate with other members of the accounting department regarding the amount of money needed to be transferred for completed checks.
Distribute weekly checks to vendors.
Responsible for paying company credit cards, utilities, and gas cards.
Process monthly utilities and all Volvo invoices.
Create payment advice and compose payments, including the review of statements.
Assist in filing 1099s at year-end.
Assist in updating data in business software for company vehicles.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Essential Skills

Proficient in invoice processing
Data entry skills
In-depth understanding of accounting principles
Ability to manage purchase orders and payables

Highly organized
Professional and technical verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management abilities
Ability to prioritize duties effectively
Self-motivated and proactive
Problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Extend
Knowledge of Power BI
Work Environment The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. The position is part of a dynamic and fast-growing organization, offering opportunities for advancement within the accounting department.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Longmeadow, MA.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
