We are seeking a highly skilled Permanent CNC Machinist for our 2nd shift operations within our dynamic Engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, ensuring an efficient, safe, and high‑quality manufacturing process.
Compensation & Benefits Base pay range: $22.00/hr - $33.00/hr. Includes a strong compensation package with excellent benefits and opportunities for career growth.
Responsibilities
Setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC machines for precision machining.
Interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production.
Maintaining machines in good condition, ensuring safe operation.
Checking completed work for conformance using precision measuring tools.
Detecting malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance machining and adjusting controls as required.
Meeting production deadlines while maintaining the highest level of quality control.
Collaborating with team members to improve processes for cost‑reduction, quality, and efficiency.
Maintaining a clean and safe work area to company standards.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience as a CNC machinist in a manufacturing environment.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in CNC machining preferred.
Extensive knowledge of machine shop theory, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques.
Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers) and understanding tight tolerances.
Strong understanding of mechanical aspects of machine operation.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
Willingness to work the 2nd shift and overtime as required.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
