Product Engineer – Wichita Falls, TX Howmet Aerospace Inc., a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries, is seeking a Product Engineer to support manufacturing through process control, improvement initiatives, and direct responsibility for assigned products. The role involves quoting new developmental parts, attending to product engineering concerns, assisting with new business, improving existing processes, developing new technologies, and providing technical support.

Responsibilities

Plans and formulates engineering programs within assigned responsibility.

Implements and reviews process design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards and customer contract requirements.

Supports activities concerning technical development, customer issues, cost reduction programs and engineering design and test problems.

Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases.

Prepares interim and completion project reports as needed.

Provides technical support for assigned coating, brazing and/or manufacturing area of assignment.

Interfaces with production personnel regarding all processing requirements; interacts with suppliers and customers on technical issues.

Performs process quality investigations.

Develops and implements process improvements and cost reductions.

Designs tools and fixtures pertinent to processing.

Generates material requisitions to initiate procurement.

Translates customer requirements into usable work instructions; interfaces with customer on technical issues.

Reviews purchase orders, specifications and blueprints for impact.

Assembles data packages for customer approval.

Specifies processing and generates work instructions.

Actively pursues elimination of waste, improvement of equipment reliability and efficiency, and reduction of operating costs; employs statistical methods as necessary.

Continuously improves the performance of job‑related responsibilities.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.

Legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility required at hire; visa sponsorship not available.

Position entails access to export‑controlled items; employment offers conditioned upon lawful access to such items.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred engineering discipline: Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or Industrial.

Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.

Knowledge of MS Office.

Ability to work in a self‑directed or team environment and good organizational skills.

Knowledge of Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and scientific methods for problem solving.
