Core Responsibilities As a
Professional Land Surveyor
you will:
Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and timely delivery of boundary, topographic, and subdivision plats.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and professional development support to survey team members.
Research county records and retrieve recorded documents.
Innovate using industry‑leading tools such as AutoCAD, Carlson, Civil 3D, or equivalent software.
Review survey data, drawings, and reports to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Serve as the in‑office point of contact for quality control, troubleshooting, and technical problem solving.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and planners to coordinate survey deliverables within project timelines.
Support staff in refining workflows and leveraging technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Represent the firm in the industry by supporting networking opportunities, career fairs, and other professional outreach efforts.
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of expertise in land surveying.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying or related field preferred.
In pursuit of LS or commensurate relevant experience.
A strong foundation of communication, teamwork, and collaboration with the ability to unite professionals across diverse disciplines.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Carlson principles.
Deep understanding of surveying principles, site/civil engineering, and construction methodologies.
A strong background in conducting field surveys and analyzing data.
