Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site position in Memphis, TN for a Residential Construction Project Manager. The Project Manager is responsible for leading residential construction projects from inception to completion. This position plays a key role in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to RKA’s high‑quality standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
Budgeting: Review project budgets weekly, monitor owner‑directed changes, selections and subcontractor charges to keep revised budget totals updated, write purchase orders for all subcontractors and suppliers, convert estimate amounts to time intervals for use by in‑house trades.
Scheduling: Produce Gantt Chart project schedule at commencement, maintain 8‑week detailed schedules with superintendent input, update monthly, assist superintendent with subcontractor notification, distribute project schedules, quote procurement, material takeoffs.
Communication: Email all clients, architects, designers weekly outlining the schedule, schedule and coordinate OAC meetings at minimum once per month, provide monthly report to Owner, Architect, and Designer until project is complete.
Material Tracking: Produce material selections schedule, monitor owner selections and send reminders for upcoming selection dates, provide pricing detail for owner selections as required, provide owner with helpful information to make selection process easy, maintain internal selections spreadsheet.
Requirements and Qualifications
Project Management Experience: 3‑5 years (Preferred)
High School Diploma or GED Certification (Required)
Attention to Detail
Good Customer Service Skills
Strong Ability to Follow Directions
