About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a dynamic healthcare team. This role involves performing high-quality nuclear medicine, PET, and theranostic procedures (planar, SPECT, and SPECT/CT), ensuring patient safety, quality control, and optimal imaging results. The technologist will collaborate with colleagues, nurses, radiologists, and physicists while adhering to regulatory standards and safety protocols.
Salary Range $71,000 – $105,000
Schedule Full-Time, Day Shift
Key Responsibilities
Perform nuclear medicine, PET, and theranostic procedures accurately and efficiently according to protocols.
Conduct quality control (Q.C.) of imaging equipment and maintain operational standards in coordination with engineers and physicists.
Communicate effectively with patients and families, ensuring understanding of procedures and patient comfort.
Adhere to all radiation safety and infection control protocols, verifying correct radiopharmaceuticals and screening patients for pregnancy.
Prepare patients and imaging areas, using aseptic/sterile techniques as needed.
Collaborate with medical staff to maintain inventory, order radiopharmaceuticals, and ensure proper image transfer to PACS for review.
Monitor patient conditions, report changes, and administer first aid as needed.
Serve as a trainer for new team members and students, supporting continued education and skills development.
Follow established workflows, including EMR, PACS, and other imaging systems.
Participate in on-call duties if required.
Key Qualifications & Skills
ARRT-N (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Nuclear Medicine) or CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) certification.
Proven ability to provide patient-centered care across all age groups (newborn to geriatric).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and radiation safety standards.
Proficient in PACS, EMR, Microsoft Office, and other relevant computer systems.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and remain calm under pressure.
Preferred Skills
Experience in PET and SPECT/CT imaging.
Training or mentorship experience in nuclear medicine procedures.
Other Requirements Familiarity with hospital or clinic regulatory compliance and reporting.
