Position Summary Our Denver location ranks among the top 10 in Forbes’ “Best cities for dogs 2024” list and has been a pet food‑only manufacturer since 1972, first to harness solar energy. We produce 260,134 tons annually of dog and cat foods. As a Maintenance Technician you will manage preventative and predictive maintenance to improve the functionality and safe working order of our manufacturing equipment and machinery. You will handle projects that span the electrical, mechanical and automation maintenance challenges and work on the 2nd or 3rd shift.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on general plant electrical equipment such as starters, start/stop stations, motors (up to 480V).
Service and repair of production‑related electrical equipment including power distribution, lighting systems, AC/DC motors, transformers, machine and line control devices, fluid control, electronic controls, instrumentation, variable frequency drives, and basic PLC knowledge/interpretation.
Demonstrate safe practices and tools when working with low‑ and medium‑voltage electrical systems and components.
Operate and maintain shop tools and equipment such as pipe threader and band saw.
Demonstrate good working knowledge of electrical diagrams and/or circuits and utilize them during troubleshooting.
Have a working knowledge of basic electrical test apparatus such as multimeters and megohmmeters.
Use proper equipment to test, repair, and verify various forms of digital and analog signals.
Requirements
1+ years’ electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, technical, military, or related environment OR 2‑year technical degree.
Other
Must be willing to work all shifts including nights and weekends.
Pay and Benefits The approximate pay for this position is $39.35 – $50.63 per hour. Pay progression: Maintenance Technician D $39.35, C $40.76, B $42.74, A $46.35, A+ $50.63. Final compensation may vary based on knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
