Vaco Phoenix is looking for an HR Manager for a top client in Tempe, AZ. This HR Manager will be responsible for full‑cycle payroll, open benefits enrollment, onboarding, employee relations, and day‑to‑day HR duties. This position is fully onsite and pays up to $100,000 per year. Interviews are being held immediately!
Responsibilities
Administer payroll for both hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing
Review and validate timekeeping records, overtime, PTO, and wage adjustments in accordance with wage and hour regulations
Act as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries, resolving issues efficiently and accurately
Manage full‑cycle onboarding, including offer letters, background checks, I‑9/E‑Verify compliance, and system access setup
Lead new hire orientations covering company policies, benefits, safety procedures, and role expectations
Ensure timely completion of all required training and employment documentation
Oversee offboarding procedures, including final payroll processing, benefits termination, exit documentation, and company equipment return
Administer employee benefits and insurance programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans
Partner with insurance brokers and carriers to manage enrollments, renewals, audits, and claims support
Lead annual open enrollment, clearly communicating benefit options and changes to employees
Ensure accurate benefits deductions and seamless coordination with payroll
Serve as a trusted HR partner to employees and managers, providing guidance on workplace concerns and performance matters
Job Requirements
Strong problem solving, reporting, and analytical skills
Minimum 2-3 years of HR Supervisor or Manager experience (leadership required)
Experience supporting an organization of approximately 100 employees
Strong knowledge of payroll, benefits, insurance, and employment law
