The Plant Operations Department on the Manhattan campus is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team! The Maintenance Mechanic position is vital for maintaining the functionality of our facilities and equipment. Key responsibilities typically include:
Performing inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and systems.
Diagnose and repair machinery, understand mechanical systems, and work with various hand and power tools.
Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting electrical issues.
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems.
Understand HVAC systems and their maintenance.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Qualifications and requirements:
Current NYC Fire Department Certificates of Fitness
HS/GED required
Two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mechanical, plumbing, electrical and strong troubleshooting skills are required.
