Responsibilities
Has an entrepreneurial spirit, creating a vision for growth in their personal practice while contributing to the growth of our transportation engineering practice in the local area and beyond
Assists in marketing and business development efforts with our existing local municipal, state, and private clients, while delivering a wide variety of transportation planning, traffic engineering, and/or ITS-related projects with our growing team of transportation professionals
Beyond serving our existing clients, has the ability to pursue own passions, project opportunities and clients
Leadership responsibilities include:
Operating with integrity and sound business principals
Providing vision, business planning and strategy
Establishing goals
Building and maintaining positive client relationships
Having open communication with your partners and team
Growing and leading a Transportation practice
Our Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor>
The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business
With success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of an impressive bonus program with the potential to advance to ownership

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
At least 15 years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, traffic operations, and/or ITS planning and design
Registered license (PE and/or TE)
Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in San Diego and surrounding communities
Established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, and/or local municipalities
Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specifications
Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
Base Salary Range
$150,000 - $250,000
Eligible for performance-based bonus compensation
