POSITIONOVERVIEW Production Planner is responsible for planning production duties at the Hickory Plant located in Owensboro KY and reports to the Plant Manager. Duties include scheduling batches according to reactor availability and customer orders, scheduling packaging of finished product, and scheduling shipment to the customer. The Production Planner acts as a backup to the Supply Chain Lead.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Review production process orders to ensure accurate data being captured

Participate in annual complete physical inventory

Review schedule during daily production meeting

Maintain production schedule according to equipment availability, resource availability, raw material location, and maintenance schedule

Uses lean manufacturing principles to run schedule efficiently using plant capacity and inventory to ensure targets are met

Communicate product adjustments and schedule changes to production workforce and QC Lab

Assist with purchasing raw materials

Maintain ISO-compliant scheduling documents, OTS, and OTD Reports

Manage bulk carrier contract

Maintain finished goods and package material inventories and communicate re-order needs to Maintenance Scheduler

Set up FTL shipments and coordinate with off site warehouse

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field

SAP Experience

Prior experience in production scheduling

Interaction with various levels of customers and associates daily

Basic to Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Experience in chemical manufacturing
