Position Overview Production Engineer (Module) / Korean Bilingual at Qcells Georgia, Inc.

Summary The Production Engineer, under the direction of the Production Manager, supports day‑to‑day manufacturing operations. Collects, validates, analyzes, and organizes data for management decision making. Creates production schedules, monitors progress, solves production problems, compiles operational reports, and leads cross‑departmental initiatives.

Ideal candidate has strong background in Operations, Planning/Scheduling, Program Management, Continuous Improvement, and Data Analytics.

Responsibilities

Work closely with production management on reporting and development of analytical tools to enhance volume and profitability.

Identify production issues, analyze root causes, and drive resolutions.

Collaborate with Production Manager on budget analysis, operating goals, and productivity, quality, and safety targets.

Compile and analyze company data and create management review reports.

Provide production line support: implement process improvements, troubleshoot equipment, and address operator inquiries.

Utilize LEAN, Six Sigma, and best‑practice tools for day‑to‑day problem solving and continuous improvement.

Lead implementation of new manufacturing initiatives: resource allocation, manufacturing principles, organization structure, and production systems.

Maintain records, manage labor costs, coordinate material availability, staffing, capacity, machine availability, and profitability.

Analyze statistical trends to develop KPIs and benchmark performance with internal partners.

Plan and schedule production: assign personnel, establish priorities, monitor progress, revise schedules, resolve problems, report results.

Improve production workflow and reduce waste.

Develop new reporting methods, templates, and tools to drive improvement across all business areas.

Adhere to Hanwha Q Cells policies and procedures.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.

0‑5+ years of related experience.

Fluency in Korean REQUIRED.

Impeccable math and analytic skills.

Comfort integrating new technology into an existing business environment.

Strong data analysis, data verification, problem‑solving abilities.

Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Priority and task execution in high‑pressure environments.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S, Lean/Six Sigma.

Advanced proficiency using ERP/MES systems.

Stand and walk the production area throughout the day.

Lift up to 50 pounds without restriction.

Perform as required within limits set by Q Cells.

Long periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to filter “Big Data” and interpret for data‑driven decision making.

Extensive experience implementing new programs and data systems.

Use abstract reasoning techniques to build reporting logic and establish creative solutions.

Work with ambiguous data sets and information using people skills and intuition.

Learn various software applications for quality and performance reporting and analysis.
