Stream Restoration Engineer/Designer - REMOTE

This candidate will lead the technical direction for complex environmental projects, ensuring compliance and integrity throughout project execution. They will provide expert advice on stream restoration design and ecological initiatives, actively contribute to project management and client relations, uphold high environmental standards, foster continuous improvement, and mentor the engineering team.
Accountabilities
Uphold and execute leadership consistent with the company’s core values.
Adhere to all HSSE standards and company policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations during project execution.
Act as the team engineer for complex remedial designs and compliance projects.
Serve as an expert witness in legal and compliance matters.
Provide final technical review and approval of binding project documents.
Mentor and train junior engineering staff in technical and regulatory matters.
Direct and advise on engineering design, stream restoration, and regulatory negotiations.
Identify technical improvement initiatives and promote best practices.
Develop client relations by contributing to proposals and presentations.
Contribute to identifying new technical initiatives and opportunities.
Requirements
B.S. degree in engineering or related field; M.S. preferred.
5–10+ years of project‑related environmental experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
Expert knowledge in stream restoration design and project management.
Strong communication and technical writing skills.
Occasional leadership and decision‑making experience.
Experience with risk assessment management and regulatory compliance.
Proficient in data analysis and design software.
Rosgen Level I–IV training and experience in stream restoration design.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks.
