Position Responsibilities
Directs shift production operations, including formula checks, work task assignments, and schedule monitoring to ensure adherence to standards.
Ensures production technicians and outsourced labor are properly instructed in safe equipment operation and monitors their use of equipment.
Reviews records and procedures to ensure proper use of time and materials, performing continuous inspections of product to meet quality standards.
Maintains equipment in good operating condition.
Promotes positive employee relations and interdepartmental communication and cooperation.
Ensures a safe working environment through enforcement of safety policies, inspections, and periodic safety meetings.
Plans and adjusts work assignments to cover all production phases.
Operates facility metal detector(s) when required; operator must be fully trained and certified.
Ensures employee compliance with work rules.
Assists with employee training.
Provides recommendations on disciplinary action and participates in the disciplinary process as needed.
Maintains cleanliness of work area.
Ensures compliance with company policies (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.).
Performs other duties deemed integral to the job, including adherence to attendance policies and other operating rules.
Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) or more years of experience in all areas of plant production work.
Essential Job Requirements
High School diploma or equivalence.
Completion of AIB Bakery Science Residence Program.
Completion of formal management skills training program.
