Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking an Industrial Engineer in El Paso, TX.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $83,250.00 - $122,100.00 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salary information is a general guideline only; salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What You’ll Do Purpose of Position:
An Industrial Engineer is responsible for optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring quality standards in manufacturing environments.
Designs, develops, and documents production layouts to increase productivity and quality standards. Main duties include reviewing current production schedules and processes to find potential improvements, designing the layouts of the facilities, and estimating production costs.
Design and document product flow, material flow and information flow necessary to run the operation in the most efficient manner.
Essential Functions
Process Optimization: Analyze and evaluate existing production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Production Planning: Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to meet production goals.
Quality Control: Enforce quality control measures to maintain product standards and minimize defects in manufacturing processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including management, production staff, and other engineers, to implement improvements and ensure smooth operations.
Data Analysis: Utilize statistical methods and engineering tools to analyze production data, forecast trends, and provide data‑driven recommendations for process enhancements.
Training and Development: Train employees on new procedures and technologies, ensuring that all staff are equipped to meet production standards and safety regulations.
Create manufacturing processes, layouts, routings, and drawings.
Resolve manufacturing problems using statistical tools and continuous improvement methods.
Participate in product process design reviews.
Generate machine and production process capacity and capability studies.
Implement, promote, and maintain a safe work environment by fostering a culture of zero accidents through prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, and rule application, and by identifying and controlling risks in manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a technical role supporting industrialization, processes, or related engineering functions in manufacturing or industrial settings, including internships or co‑ops.
