Position Overview As an Electronics Technician 3 in SES, you will work on the design, engineering, integration, operation, and maintenance of electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, and more for federal, local, and commercial customers.
Responsibilities
Execute on‑site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of electronic security equipment and systems.
Conduct site surveys, configure hardware and software, test systems, and provide technical support to customers.
Utilize and comprehend project safety plans (JHA, AHA, PFW) and enforce M.C. Dean handbook and policies.
Participate in quality reviews of design documentation, analyze drawing packages for constructability.
Track project metrics, attend weekly resource allocation meetings, and verify timesheet charges.
Manage tool inventories, conduct inspections, and organize material ordering and receiving.
Lead daily ORM meetings, ensure compliance with safety requirements, and complete accident/incident reporting.
Execute PITCO plans to ensure high‑quality testing and installation.
Install system raceways, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, and panels according to industry standards.
Terminate, test, and configure electronic devices, network, and IT equipment.
Configure base switches, servers, and workstations; troubleshoot programmable components.
Conduct quality control inspections and document findings according to QC plans and checklists.
Maintain field devices, troubleshoot copper and fiber optic issues.
Lead commissioning efforts, track activities, and represent M.C. Dean in meetings with owners and design teams.
Communicate consistently with project teams, other trades, and customers.
Mentor crew members, provide constructive feedback, and encourage innovation.
Align with M.C. Dean’s vision, mission, and values through strong communication, interpersonal, and time‑management skills.
Provide look‑ahead for manpower, material procurement, and resource planning.

Qualifications
Clearance/Citizen Type:
Applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and U.S. citizenship requirement; no clearance is required.
Education:
HS diploma or GED; Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours); Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician or Electrical Apprenticeship program; Additional 3 years of electronics installation/maintenance experience.
Required Progressive Experience:
6+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems; strong oral, written, and presentation skills; experience working with multidisciplinary teams; time‑management and organization skills; strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills is a plus; valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems (e.g., CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems, Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems); 3 years focused experience in electronic security systems; OSHA 30 certification.
Abilities:
Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds; move stepladders without assistance; work at heights up to 60 feet; perform routine physical tasks; good vision; communicate in English; ability to recognize potential problems and apply general rules to specific problems.
Compensation Pay Range: USD $32.00 – $46.42 per hour.
