CEI/Construction Management Practice Leader

Responsibilities
Procure and manage KCI’s CEI/Construction Management work in Central Florida, including road, bridge, utility, transit, facilities, and public‑works projects.
Serve as Senior Project Manager for assigned projects and lead practice-wide project oversight.
Grow the practice through business development, identifying new and existing public and private clients.
Provide leadership and guidance to Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and staff; support their professional growth and technical project oversight.
Maintain practice budget, project health, cash management, and track performance results.
Collaborate with other Practice Leaders to share best practices and optimize collective success.
Recruit, retain, and develop top talent; conduct annual employee performance appraisals and mentorship.
Negotiate contract terms, scopes, and fees; develop project schedules and monthly progress reports.
Ensure compliance with KCI policies, quality management systems, safety regulations, and external reporting obligations.
Deliver projects on time, within budget, and at high quality while meeting scope requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related AEC field and 7+ years of professional experience (or 11+ years of equivalent experience).
Progressive experience in project management and organizational leadership.
Proven experience managing technical projects and leading cross‑functional teams.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to motivate teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, margins, and cash flow.
Experience in business development, client relations, and growth strategy.
Commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
Strong problem‑solving skills and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency with relevant software and tools.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for the service line.
Certificates, Licenses & Training
Complete KCI PM Training and Contract Training within six months of start date.
Professional license or certification within the field of expertise is preferred.
