Responsibilities
Develop, configure and optimize industrial processes.
Interface with Project Engineers, Production Associates, Process Engineers and Management to support a six‑day a week manufacturing operation and achieve improved efficiency, high first‑pass yields, best quality, and continuous improvement of the processes on the production floor.
Work on continuous improvement of the processes on the production floor to improve quality and cycle time by focusing on defect data analysis, assembly tools and fixtures, automation of processes and equipment, elimination of redundant and non‑value‑added operations, optimization of product flow, and proactively pursue better methods and new technologies.
Key focus on surface‑mount assembly equipment—including pick‑and‑place, printing and reflow—to enhance equipment performance, support operators in ongoing process improvement and training.
Qualifications
Manufacturing process expert in SMT or wave soldering.
Minimum 5 years of process engineering experience or equivalent direct technical support of an electronics assembly process.
Knowledge of process control methodologies (SPC, Cp, Cpk).
Experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing principles.
Excellent communication skills, technical writing abilities, analytical skills, team‑player mentality, and ability to make independent decisions related to the job function.
At least four years of manufacturing experience in electronic manufacturing with a focus on SMT or wave soldering.
Knowledge of IPC documentation.
Ability to flex the schedule in support of a six‑day a week manufacturing operation, as needed.
